My name is Julie Shelnutt. I was born and raised in the Bay Area where I received an excellent Catholic education at Saint John the Baptist in San Lorenzo and Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward. Upon graduation I completed the course work to receive an AA Degree in Graphic Design and then gained admission to California State University East Bay in their Fine Arts Department. While at the University, I received a BA in Fine Arts, a multiple subject credential in elementary education, and a single subject credential in Art.
After college I worked in public education at Canyon Middle School, in Castro Valley teaching sixth grade language arts, history and art. I taught for the next 10 years until the birth of our first child. My husband’s job transferred him to the Sacramento Area in 1997 where we settled in El Dorado Hills. From 2004-2006 I was fortunate to be on the staff of Holy Trinity School and I am thrilled to be back. Catholic education has given me a wonderful foundation and it is my honor to be part of such a gifted staff and community.
