Mrs. Julie Prather

I was born and raised Catholic on the Central Coast of California, and I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a teacher. By High School, I had decided on teaching mathand I earned my B.A. in Mathematics from San Jose State University, after which I put my career on hold to focus on my children in their early years. Since we moved to Cameron Park in 2000, I have been active in Holy Trinity Parish. I have been a catechist for the FFF program, volunteered at Vacation Bible School, and I worked in a few other ministries. In my spare time I enjoy sewing, reading, camping, being a Girl Scout leader, and spending time with my husband and two daughters. In 2012, the time was finally right for me to earn my teaching credential and begin my career in earnest. I was awarded my Single Subject Mathematics credential in May 2013 after completing my student teaching at El Dorado High School in Placerville. I am very excited to begin my teaching career at Holy Trinity and feel truly blessed to have found such a warm and welcoming school and parish.
