About Us

History

Holy Trinity Parish in El Dorado Hills was founded on March 17, 1992. Holy Trinity School opened in 2003 as part of our dynamic parish of over 3000 families.

Holy Trinity School provides a strong Catholic and challenging academic environment for our students and their families. Parents are recognized as the primary educators of their children.

Our faculty and staff work together with parents to develop the whole person - spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Catholic Faith Formation

Religious education is an integral part of our daily lives. It is woven throughout the day in the curriculum, on the playground and in all aspects of our relationships with one another. Strong morals and values, prayerful reflection and service for others encourage a welcoming and Christ centered presence for all.

Academic Excellence

Holy Trinity School Ministry offers a rigorous academic program meeting and exceeding Diocesan standards. Numerous academic and athletic extracurricular activities are offered to enhance the education for each child.

Enrollment

Students of Holy Trinity School enjoy small class sizes. We do not exceed 25 children in our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes. Instructional aide support offers lower student- to-teacher ratios. Our smaller school population creates a strong sense of community and belonging.

Service

Among the many ways they learn about Christ is through service to others. Our students learn to take care of God’s creation through our garden program. Class level and school wide service projects are also offered throughout the year.

Parent Involvement

We love our parents and we love volunteers. The Holy Trinity Parent Association (HTPA) acts as an active, involved parent organization to build a faith-filled and vibrant learning community at Holy Trinity School. Many community-building activities support active family involvement in school life. School-wide volunteerism is expected of all families.

Code of Conduct

Traditional values are emphasized throughout the school. Students are expected to assume personal responsibility for their own conduct. They have an obligation to be considerate and respectful of fellow students, school personnel and community members. In addition, students are required to abide by a uniform dress code.

Catholic School Advisory Commission

The Catholic School Advisory Commission assists the pastor and principal offering suggestions and advice. The team is made up of members from the school and church communities.

Mass Participation

Grades TK-8th celebrate Mass weekly as a school community and parents are invited to attend. Students participate as greeters, lectors, cantors, altar servers, and choir. Prayer services and special Catholic observances will be offered at times throughout the school year. Students are also actively involved in the planning and leadership of prayer services and other liturgical celebrations throughout the year.

Virtues

Holy Trinity utilizes the Education in Virtue curriculum. Students are taught what different virtues look like, sound like, how they are defined and how they might be cultivated. They are provided with saints, prayers and Scripture stories to help illuminate virtues like affability, generosity, humility, perseverance, magnanimity and gratitude. Students learn to celebrate their own growth in virtue and to affirm the virtues they recognize in others.
